Coastal Engineering and Sciences Certificate Program

The University of New Orleans (色色研究所) designed the graduate Coastal Engineering And Sciences (CEAS) certificate program to address a growing local need for highly specialized coastal engineers and scientists.

The Gulf Region is a paradigm of natural disaster recovery, with efforts reflected by Louisiana鈥檚 Coastal Master Plan. As the region protects its communities and ecosystems against future large-scale storms yet eyes industry growth without eroding the existing coastline, coastal engineers and scientists become essential for ensuring all new and existing structures and strategies act to preserve the existing morphology鈥攁nd don鈥檛 inadvertently create a pathway for seawater to flow inland.

色色研究所鈥檚 coursework reflects the region鈥檚 unique deltaic coastal environment and its specific challenges, but the concepts presented apply to coastal regions around the US and across the globe. Allowing scientists and engineering professionals to take advantage of 色色研究所鈥檚 innovative, career-enhancing program, the graduate certificate in Coastal Sciences and the graduate certificate in Coastal Engineering are offered in hybrid formats, with a choice of on-campus or online classes.
