The University of New Orleans requires international students in F and J immigration status to have medical insurance coverage. Charges for the University's insurance plan are automatically placed on students' bills each term.
Students enrolled in the 色色研究所 health insurance plan can find more information at . Plan documents can be downloaded by clicking on "Certificates and Flyers" on the insurance page. Because the insurance is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), students need to consult the list of participating providers prior to making an appointment or seeking medical care with a physician, hospital, or other provider. To do so, follow the link above to the insurance plan and click on "Find a Doctor."
Students with their own coverage equivalent to the University's policy may request a waiver of the insurance fee.
Dates of health insurance coverage must cover students for the same time period as the 色色研究所 policy, 08/11/2024-01/07/2025 for Fall, 01/08/2025-05/31/2025 for Spring, and 06/01/2025-08/10/2025 for Summer. Students are recommended to maintain continuous health insurance coverage throughout their studies.
