Requirements:

1. Student must reside in Orleans, Jefferson, or St. Bernard Parish and have graduated from a school in Orleans, Jefferson, or St. Bernard Parish
2. Meet admissions requirements
3. Pell eligible
4. Family income of $60,000 or less per year
5. Admitted, filed FAFSA and completed all necessary additional documentation (i.e. verification by July 1st)
6. Enrolled full-time for fall by July 1st

To maintain the award, recipients must:

1. Meet satisfactory academic progress as defined by the Department of Education
2. Continuously enroll full time and must earn at least 24 credit hours by the end of the Spring semester
3. Maintain a 2.0 institutional GPA
   1. If you earn an “I” (incomplete), your scholarship cannot be evaluated for retention purposes. You should contact the Financial Aid Office for details.
   2. “NG” (no grade) and “XF” (non-attendance) grades will be treated as “F” (failure) grades. They will negatively impact the GPA component and do NOT count toward the earned hour requirement(s).
   3. Repeated classes count only once in the earned hours.

The following fees are not covered by the Privateer Pledge:

1. Follett Access (books)
2. Privateer Bucks (meals)
3. Meal or Housing charges
4. ɫɫ�о��� Parking Decal
5. Orientation Fees
6. Late Fees
7. Drop/Add Fees
8. ɫɫ�о��� ID Fee
9. Parking Tickets or Fines

If the student resigns and goes through Return of Title IV due to officially or unofficially withdrawing from ɫɫ�о���, the university will not pay the difference accrued from the return of ineligible funds received for the term. For more information, please contact your financial aid counselor.

The Privateer Pledge covers 4 years of unmet need or until graduation, whichever happens first. ɫɫ�о��� covers the unmet need for fall and spring semesters only.

Home School students that meet requirements are eligible.

Transfer students are not eligible to receive the Privateer Pledge and the pledge is not retroactive.
