Emergency Communications
Strategic Communications is responsible for planning and executing the University鈥檚 emergency communications strategy. In times of crisis, the office deploys time-sensitive messages to students, employees and the broader New Orleans community using a variety of tools including: Privateer Alerts (色色研究所鈥檚 emergency notification system), email, the University website, social media and the news media.
Social Media
The Office of Strategic Communications oversees the University's official social networks, content generation and engagement for each platform. Our team builds connections among social media administrators campus-wide and is available to assist and train departments on social networking practices.
Publications
Silver & Blue Magazine
is specifically designed to promote the University to alumni and the external community. The publication features stories that highlight happenings at 色色研究所, advances in research, and the outstanding contributions of the University鈥檚 students, faculty, staff and alumni. The biannual magazine is available in both print and online.
The Campus News Email Newsletter
is distributed to all students, faculty and staff on a weekly basis. It promotes news, events and happenings to our internal audiences. If you have news to share, an event to promote or a story idea that you think we should know about, please sent it to Strategic Communications.
Media Access to 色色研究所
As a public institution, the University of New Orleans welcomes the news media to our campus. As a courtesy, we request that members of the media planning to be on campus notify the Chief Communications Officer by calling (504) 280-6939 or emailing pr@uno.edu.
