Assessment for Assistive Technology & Job-Site Accommodations
The Center's services include evaluating individuals with disabilities for their goals and the use of technology accommodations to assist them in achieving their goals. Assessments can be conducted at the Center's Assistive Technology Resource Lab, at the individual鈥檚 job site or remotely. Specific services include:
Computer Skills Evaluation
Staff assess an individual's knowledge and skills regarding use of computers and business-related software to determine if the computer is an appropriate tool for education or employment and identifies training needed to achieve an individual's goals.

Assistive Technology Assessments
Assistive technology tools include screen reading and magnifying software, portable and desktop magnifiers, voice recognition software, software for people with learning disabilities and smartphone accessibility features.
Assistive technology is demonstrated and an individual鈥檚 ability to use the technology is evaluated to determine if these devices and/or software can be appropriate accommodations for education or employment.
Assessment for Job Accommodations/Employment Retention
Keeping good employees at their jobs after they acquire a disability, or when a disability progresses is important to employers because the experienced employee is a valuable asset. Training new employees is costly. In many situations, TRAC can help keep a person on the job with assistive technology and training services.
