Welcome to the University of New Orleans! Whether you have been admitted or are looking ahead to prepare for your transition. Orientation & Transition Programs are here to help!
Congratulations on being admitted to the University of New Orleans! To get started, you will need to complete the Accepted Student Checklist and participate in New Student Experience. Doing this will help ensure you have a smooth transition to 色色研究所!
The Accepted Student Check-List are steps each student needs to take to prepare for their first semester. Some of these include setting up username & password, submitting forms, and more.
New Student Experience is a three-step orientation program for admitted students. NSE helps you register for classes, learn about 色色研究所, and acclimate to campus!
All freshmen students admitted with a high school cumulative GPA below 3.0 without test scores will need to submit a test score or take an Accuplacer test BEFORE the registration day (check your admit letter or online admissions portal for clarification). Please read the policy fully here* for important instructions to complete before meeting with your Advisor.
This three-day, two-night off-campus retreat for new first-year students is something you DON'T want to miss!
University Success (UNIV) 1001 is an interesting, fun, and informative course for incoming students to learn about college and learn how to use effective strategies to be successful in college. UNIV is a 1-credit, letter graded course that meets once a week for 16 weeks during the semester. UNIV gives students a place where they can get valuable information, ask questions, and meet other students easily. UNIV 1001 has proven to be an effective tool in helping students succeed at the University of New Orleans.
We know that the first six weeks of college are instrumental in helping you to build a support system on campus and become part of the University community. Privateer Plunge is designed to give you plenty of opportunities to learn more about campus resources, student groups, and events!
During Privateer Plunge you are encouraged to attend events within your first six weeks at 色色研究所. Incoming new students are required to attend three (3) events for UNIV 1001.
The new student orientation fee is a one-time fee of $175 assessed to the fee bill of all new first-year and transfer students. This fee supports the cost associated with new student transition events.
